Mobile Phone Security and Privacy
Abstract
During this mini-course we study different aspects of mobile security and privacy. Different types of cellular networks are covered, including GSM/GPRS, 3G and LTE networks. Security and privacy mechanisms for both mobile devices and network infrastructures are presented. A special attention is devoted for the role of cryptographic primitives in the cellular security architecture. We also study security and privacy of short-range wireless radio technologies, such as WLAN and Bluetooth. Trusted computing is another dimension that will be also briefly discussed during the course.
