Cryptography in Practice: How to make it small, fast and secure
Abstract
I plan to give several lectures to improve existing cryptographic techniques in various directions:
- memory
- speed and
- security.
I should discuss
- Key compression (with an introduction to LLL)
- Asymptotic vs. Concrete security (with an introduction to provable security),
- Side-channel atomiticy (with an introduction to side-channel attacks).
I am not yet completely sure about the final program but this gives you an idea.
Cryptography is now mature in many topics and routinely used in applications.
The goal behind my lectures is to explain how to properly use cryptography from a practical viewpoint.
